Odd Passenger: An Odd Thomas Webisode

On odd surprises:

I just have one question: how in the world did I miss an Odd Thomas web series for over a year?!  It boggles my mind.

For those of you not in the know, Odd Thomas is the star of Dean Koontz’s Odd Thomas series.  Odd’s a pretty simple guy: he  lives in a small town, he doesn’t make much money, and his dream, really, is to work as a tire salesman.  There’s only one thing about Odd that’s, uh, odd: he sees dead people… aaaaand evil spirits called bodachs, which usually means something really bad is about to happen.

I’ve read the first two Odd Thomas books – first one: awesome; second one: okay – and though I didn’t put it in my pool, the third book, Brother Odd, is definitely on my list of RIP IV books.

In any case, I love Odd.  Say whatever you want about him, but one thing’s for sure: he is freakin’ adorable.  Which is why my mouth hit the floor when I came across this webisode on YouTube.  As far as I can tell, there are four installments to “Odd Passenger,” but I’ll save those for later.  The following is the first installment.

Warning: There’s a bit of a spoiler in the first minute.  If you haven’t read the first book, but intend to do so sometime in the future (which I recommend), you might want to skip it.  Otherwise, enjoy!

So many people use the word “satire” when they mean “sarcasm” or “irony” or “parody” that I don’t take it seriously any more. From your description, P&P&Zombies sounds like parody.
